The staff was outstanding and very friendly. Stephanie, Samantha, and Joyce were especially great!
I was referred here- Jefferson City Health and Rehabilitation Center was closest to me. Everyone cared for me, and their job performance was good! The physical therapy department was excellent as well. Stedman really took time with me.
The reason I chose this center is that I needed to have therapy and another surgery. Everyone was great. Everyone that worked with me was always nice! I know if I ever need help with anything, you are the ones that I want to help me!
I chose this center because I have been here two times now. Everyone was wonderful. If ever you need (therapy), Jefferson City Health and Rehabilitation Center is the first choice!
The reasons I chose this center is because the VA Sent me here. Everybody does a good job. Thankful for the help I received. I’ve been to other centers and this one seems to be better than most.
I was told it was a nice friendly facility you’re treated as one big happy family. The nursing staff- specifically, they were always there when you needed help. If I had to choose rehab over a nursing facility I would choose Jefferson City Rehabilitation Center.
I had an excellent experience with my wife in a previous stay here. All of the staff, rehab, nursing, and everyone else treated me with respect and were great! The whole staff is just wonderful! I didn’t want to go anywhere else!
Jefferson City Health & Rehabilitation Center is such a loving and caring place. My wife Mary has been a resident for almost two years now. She had a brain aneurysm on July 22, 2016, she has had her skull taken off twice and more surgeries than we can count. The staff at Jefferson City Health & Rehabilitation center have been a blessing to my wife and me. They have an amazing housekeeping team that goes above and beyond to make sure every inch of the center is spotless. There are so many activities each and every day. My wife Mary enjoys going to Church services on Sundays. She loves how much thought and hard work goes into decorating the center for each and every holiday. Words can’t express how caring the C.N.A.’s and nursing staff are. They don’t just go above and beyond for Mary, but each and every resident. Even though she is not in therapy anymore, the staff in the therapy department always welcome Mary to come down and visit and just hang out. I want to say thank you to everyone who works at Jefferson City Health & Rehab Center for all they have done for Mary and me.
Dear Friends,
I don’t know where to start to thank you for the love and care you showed to my mother, Corrina.
I know she loved you all and wanted to try to help what she could.
She enjoyed the hugs and petting you all gave her, to each of you who fed her candy and cake, she loved it. I hope you’ll remember her as a loving person, because that was the way she was before she developed this devastating disease. To each of you who gave up your time off to come by and visit us at the hospital, we appreciate it so much. I’ll never forget your love to her. This poem reminds me of the work you all do each day. Please pray for our family as we miss her greatly. All our thanks!
Dear Staff,
Thank you ever so much for providing such kind, patient and compassionate care for my father, Jack Webb, during the final few weeks of his life.
It is unfortunate that you never saw him when he was full of life, for had you seen the man who raised me you would have seen a very different man than the one who often taxed your good will and strained your patience. Please know that even in doing so he deeply appreciated your care and that my sister and I do, also.
Surely every loving son feels that his father is special, but I knew that mine was unique and know that the emptiness left by his departure from my life is lessened by your kindness toward him as he prepared to leave.
We would all like to think that our jobs are important, that what we do for our living matters. Please know that in your case, though, this is not even remotely ambiguous. You have the ability to bring comfort and calm amidst the most discomforting and disturbing moments of life. Few of the rest of us could ever make such a boast.
Dear Staff members of JCHR,
It’s hard to express my gratitude to each and every member of this group. My husband, John, was a resident at this facility for sixteen months. John received the best care he possible; he had to learn to live away from our family which was the hardest thing I ever had to do. John’s care at JCHR was the best of ever. Such kind and loving people. Thank you all for keeping John safe and for loving him. John loved you ALL.
God bless and keep each one safe, well, and bless you all each and every day.
I would like to thank all nurses, CNA’s and anyone else that was involved in the care of Benny Rollins. He received very good care and he loved all of you. You are all special people and a thank you for all you’ve done.
Dear Debby and all who came to know Wendy Hector,
Wendy’s sudden passing is hard on all of us–family, friends and all who cared for her. I just wanted everyone to know how much I valued all the time, attention, and care given to Wendy in her stay at JC Health & Rehab. I was there every day at all different hours and can vouch that Wendy received top notch care. It was especially heartening to see her making progress with her speech therapist, sitting up on the edge of the bed or getting into a wheelchair, and receiving careful attention to other medical issues. She and I knew that she had a heart tumor that could not be taken care of until she regained strength. There was nothing to be done about the tumor, so it was not the focus of her day-to-day care and progress. Her cardiologist, when the tumor was discovered, said that she could pass on suddenly and without warning or pain. That is what happened.
Her 49 years were too short, but I know that everyone did all that was possible to make her comfortable and provide a healing atmosphere. Her time at JC Health and Rehab was a time of grace for her when family and friends could visit and she could enjoy their company. She and I know that life is eternal and she is moving forward with freedom from mortal limitations embraced in God’s love.
Even though right now we aren’t able to take them out on trips outside the facility, we are bringing the outside world to them in so many different ways! 💚👏
